High-noon na ng magising ako, kasi tinawagan ako ni Arvey to ask me something na kung gusto ko daw bang sumali sa cheering squad for SEA GAMES tomorrow?..... before, Gem (Arvey's sister) told me about that, but i can't decide kasi my class started already.... Somewhat busy ako kaya di ako maka-OO.... and for all i know, Arvey can look for his participants and dancers even without me .... And besides, it's their last and final rehearsal, dahil ang performance eh kinabukasan na... so iisipin ko pa lang parang ang hirap na for my part.
But since Arvey made an effort to call me and ask me, di ko nahindian dahil labs ko talaga tong taong to......
After my class, i went straight to Quirino Grandstand where the rehearsal was held.... Ang dami ding participants.... Nung umpisa, mejo pasaway muna ung iba....but then, as we go on, nakakasunod na kami sa lahat ng turo ng mga choreographers....Ang laki ng venue, and we need to be visible...lahat ng moves namin dapat captured ng cameras.
Habang inaayos ng organizers ung formation, tinuruan na ako ni Arvey ng steps.... luckily nakuha ko naman agad... magaling talaga magturo si Arvey ng sayaw....hehehehe!!!:)
All of us were enjoying while rehearsing... di namin alintana ang init ng araw at ang paminsan-minsang ambon.... We keep on rehearsing at kapag mejo nabo-bore na kami, gumagawa kami ng ibang steps... and we took the opportunity na din to rehearse on our presentation for our upcoming christmas party sa Singles at dahil din dumating na si Sheryl.
I also got the chance to talk with Kuya Wilson (our newly-wed chapter head)....madaldal pala sya...hahahh!! daming binuking sa aking pagiging pasaway ng iba...hahhhah!!!
At times na it's not our turn muna... me, Jave and Arvey were watching the dance rehearsal of Hot Legs... Ang HOT LEGS?? hot na hot talaga ang legs..... the moves, the phasings and the blockings, talagang overwhelming... parang di sila nahihirapan sa lifting nila at steps.... galing!!!
We watched them, kasi gusto kumuha ni Arvey ng idea for our presentation... I wish na makaya ko yung ginawa ng Hot Legs...baka mabali buto ko...hahahahah!!!!
Natuwa ako dun sa rehearsal ng Boyscouts of the Philippines, for they are the ones who will bear the Philippine flag... ang cu-cute nung mga batang boyscouts, they are very organized and synchronize..hehehe!! They were accompanied by the Philippine renowned athletes like Mikee Cojuanco, Paeng Nepomoceno, Lydia de Vega, Monsour del Rosario, Allan Caidic, Akiko Thompson, Eric Buhain (they are the ones who attended the rehearsal and more to come on the event), they will march after the flag.
Pati ung flag raising eh may rehearsal din...heheheheh!!!
Nagkaron pa muna ng technical problem, kasi pati lights and sounds eh nire-rehearse din... kaya nagdecide kami na magpractice by group muna.... isang group isang choreographer.... then nung talagang gabi na, the organizers told us about our attire for the event. We focused more on the face painting thingy.... kasi un ung magbibigay ng impact sa getup daw namin...
Then, it's the Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Ryan Cayabyab... awesome! of course alam naman talaga ng lahat na magaling si Mr. C di ba?? at Philharmonic pa? may tatalo pa ba dun?? heheheh...
Pagkatapos namin silang panoorin... we rehearse another choreograph for another song... un eh ung "AWIT NG KABATAAN" by Rivermaya.... we never thought na rivermaya na pala ung nasa stage... akala namin eh part pa din ng performance ng Philharmonic..heheheheh!!!
So some technical problem ang nakadelay.... then, the rehearsal with Rivermaya begins...... we enjoyed it so much... talagang sumasayaw at tumatalon kami, dapat di lang basta ine-enjoy namin ung song, dapat ayos pa din ang pila at coordinated ang sayaw with full emotion.
At dahil hindi rin yata inaasahan ng rivermaya na may choreograph ang mga participants eh masyado naman yatang natuwa...hahahah!!! parang nagkaron tuloy ng concert dun.... they sang their new song and their popular song "Kisapmata"... kahit pagod na ang lahat eh parang nawala bigla dahil sa sobrang hyper din sa performance ang rivermaya, particularly Rico Blanco.
Then, nag-uwian na ung iba after ng rehearsal ng Rivermaya, kami naman ni Arvey eh nagpaiwan kasi may runthrough rehearsal pa.... pinagtiyagaan naming hintayin (sadly di ko nabitbit nga pala ung digicam, kasi alam kong field ung pagppractisan so i thought na wala akong paglalagyan nung bag ko).
As we wait sa runthrough, me and Arvey stayed infront of the stage para mas maayos namin makita ung lahat ng performance....So nagstart na ung runthrough at the same time costume rehearsal....
Ang masasabi ko lang eh, rehearsal pa lang,masasabi mo ng ang galing ng production...... i can't really explain kung gaano ako na-overwhelm... Most of the dancers danced our native dance in a modern way!!! at ang costumes? whalllllaahhhh!!!! It's really a must see event....
And I'm so glad and oh so blessed kasi i'll be a part of it, kahit participant lang....
Sana lang wag mahaluan ng pulitika ng SEA Games, because our athletes are our heros!!!
