Hello there...it's been so long since I last posted here on my blog...hehhehe...oh, sobrang tagal na....
Anyways, I don't really have any intentions of posting what's new about me, it's just that I miss my friends so much!!!
Due to my very busy schedule, I don't have much time to log in and talk about myself...well, due to insistent crown babies demand, here I am again, telling u a story of how it was during DISH ANNIVERSARY last May 27 (Friday).
Tuesday pa lang, our company received a call from DISH, inviting us to attend and observe THE DISH's BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. My officemate, Ate Angie informed me na Anniversary nga daw ng DISH, baka daw interested ako to go there. And I said "Uhm, sige, pero depende siguro sa magpe-perform, kasi kung alam kong di rin lang ako mag-eenjoy, why waste my time?" :p... And she said, she'll ask for the performers list, para may idea daw ako kung sino ang performers. Several times na din kasi akong iniinvite ni Ate Angie to go with her on gimiks kaso dahil nga ang dami kong gawa, I can't make it. Just like in Cafe Havana and Party Central with Side A band sana...pero di lang talaga pwede eh....
Me, Shine and Maggi talked on the phone that night, and they told me na they saw the Dish announcement for their anniversary, and one of it's guest is Jeffrey Hidalgo (Hooh! my childhood crush!) and so we made plans na if ever guest list ako ng Dish and Ate Angie, they would still go with me no matter what, pareho kaya naming crush ni Shine un noh!...heheheheh...papahuli ba si shine?? Hahahah!!! Miss na nga niya un eh....hahhahahh!:p...
After that night, wala ulit kaming communication ni Shine and Maggi the next day (Wednesday).... Si ate Angie naman, sobrang kinukulit ako about who will represent for our company for the Dish Anniversary, dahil Dish reminded her again...(BTW, Ate Angie, was a former script writer and segment producer of HOY GISING of ABS-CBN; a researcher for BALITANG K and BALITANG KRIS of ABS-CBN too! Senator Drilon's Staff before, kaso ayaw na daw niya ng spot light...heheh! Just wanna let u know lang po). Last minute, nag-back-out si Ate Angie kasi she's leaving for Tagaytay daw, but she wanna make sure na pupunta ako sa event na un, kasi gusto daw niya na ako ang um-attend kasi she found out, na music is one of my passion...hehehe!!! and she told me that I would be accompanied by my two officemates but for both of them, they said na baka di rin sila mag-enjoy dun...and so I told ate Angie kung pwede kong i-invite ung 2 friends ko to represent them, at dahil eager siya for me to be there, she called Dish for more infos....and Yipee! Pumayag sila na isama ko ung 2 friends ko...heheh!!! then, tinanong pa niya ung guest performers na pupunta, and she listed them all and showed me kung meron ba akong magugustuhan dun sa list...AKO BA NAMAN ANG MAKAKATANGGI, kung ang makikita ko eh, Nyoy, Geneva Cruz, KC Montero, Rage, Akafellas, Blumfields, K247 and KING??? Siyempre may KING, makakatanggi ba ako?? Di pa complete ung list, pero I said YES agad! Hehehehe!! They informed me na FREE ADMISSION naman daw un, so pwede ung friends ko to join with me...yehey!!! Pero they told me to look for a particular person to assist us.
The next day, it was Thursday, Suburbia day o Suburbia night?? There, nagkikita-kita kami ulit nila Shine and Maggi sa favorite hang-out namin...hehhehe...I forgot to inform them kasi sobrang hyper kami that night, all I know is na-inform ko sila...ang nasabihan ko lang pala eh si Chris, kasi I asked him kung meron silang gig sa Dish and he said, meron nga daw and pano ko daw nalaman?
And so, the next day, Friday...Shine texted Jeff kung makakapunta ba daw si Jeff sa anniversary ng Dish. But sadly, he said na, nagback-out siya last minute, kasi mas may important gig siyang pupuntahan.... And shine informed me through text about what Jeff has told her, and she was asking me about our plans on what to do. I told her na guest performer din si King dun, kaya dapat kaming matuloy kasi nandun si King, at dahil di ko nga siya na-inform before hand about that, medyo nag-doubt sya, kung talagang guest si King, and I said na it is confirmed that he will be one of the guest performers... di ba?? Ang saya...hehehe...So, we planned to meet at Metropoint-Edsa at 7:30 p.m. So I'll be from office and Maggi's from her house.
Shine is so early in the meeting place, 6 pa lang yata nandun na siya, while me, as usual, still in the office at that time, kung di pa ako nag-alibi, siguro 9 p.m. pa ako lalabas ng office...mahgosh!! Almost 8 na ako nakarating sa meeting place namin at naabutan ko si Shine sa Netopia, she's online while waiting for me. Si Maggi, naipit sa traffic, Friday kasi eh...and it was her very first time to be late and hindi naman niya sinasadya kasi di naman nya alam na grabe ang traffic.....Hindi na ako nakapag-ayos ng sarili ko kasi, we're running-out-of-time, 6 p.m. ang call time ng DISH for ribbon cutting and mini photo exhibit and a ceremony.
AS we enter Dish, I look for AV, the person whom Ate Angie told me na dapat kong hanapin to accompany us. The usherettes are so nice to us, they approached us and asked us kung sino ang hinahanap namin. And so I told her that I'm looking for AV nga, and she said, na AV is too busy coz' he is the production head, the one who is planning and assisting the artists for the show.
So the usherette asked me, from what company do we belong? and I told her the name of our company.....at first she thought na we're band members....hehehe....kasi ba naman, todo ang porma nila Shine and Maggi, parang star of the night......hahahha!!! So I told the usherette that we're from Press/Media because of our paper. Ang kaso, occupied na ung seats para sa media, so the usherette told us na kung pwede eh sa seats na lang ng San Miguel Corporation kami umumpo, and I said "No problem!".... mas gumanda pa ung pwesto namin, kasi mas malapit ung seat namin sa stage....We're very comfortable and I think we will enjoy the night.....Then I realized na.....OO nga it's free admission, pero dapat may reserved seats ka and you're invited para makapwesto ng maayos, kasi ung iba, sa labas nanonood ng show, sa big screen they prepared outside para mapanood ng iba ung celebration.....Most of the guests are Company PRs, newscasters (Mario Dumawal was there), Company owners and managers.
All cocktail foods and all drinks are free, halos nakakalunod ung drinks....name it and u got it... Martini, beer, ice tea, soft drinks, etc...pero talagang ginutom kami that night, so we ordered some sizzling foods para lang mabusog kami...Madami ngang nainom sila shine and maggi na martini dahil it tastes so great talaga...heheheh... kaya lang, sip lang ako, hilo agad.
Ang galing ng show, they featured all kinds of music in different genre...from acoustic, ballad, pop, RNB, contemporary, rock, Motown (70s and 80s), Urban, Techno, etc...just name it, they have it all!!
Naabutan namin si Nyoy Volante, buti na lang, hehehehe...kasi, after 3 songs, umalis agad si Nyoy kasi may gig pa siya...niyanig lang naman niya ang buong Dish sa prepared performance niya...hehehehhe...
Freestyle--kilala pala nila Shine and Maggi si Josh (the new band member of Freestyle), who is formerly Art N' Soul keyboardist/vocalist... Astig noh? Kahit saan mo dalhin, may kilala hehehe...
Flintstones--though, their type of music eh panahon pa ni daddy ko, I may say that they are really, really great....they made all people dance with them and jam with them.
Alec Bovic--Wow! I never thought she can really sing... she imitated Avril Lavigne, and she look like Avril from afar.......in fairness to her, may sakit pa siya when she sang Avril Lavigne's songs.
Elements--They really play music so well, kahit ano yata ipa-tugtog sa kanila eh kaya nilang tugtugin...heheheheh!!:)
Shane Corpuz-- A "Born Diva" finalist, na naka-chikahan ni Maggi sa backstage..hahah!! she sang well, lalo a ung 'Weak' na sobrang favorite naming tatlo...
OJ Mariano--A "Star in a Million batch 2" finalist and a texter choice awardee, who sang 3 songs... and mostly RNB... He is nice, I may say.....hehehhe...kasi... hehehhehe...nasa likod lang namin ung group nila...
KING--Siyempre, magpapatalo ba si Edge of RNB?? Hahahah!! Siyempre hindi noh! He sang 'Knocks me Off' and 'Too Close'; he looks good and performs really great!! Talagang pinatunayan nya na hindi siya magpapahuli sa iba... Outfit pa lang, may impact na! May bagong experiment na naman na look...hehehehe...actually, a group from Informatics likes him so much, they were dancing on their seats while King is singing his second song. OH di ba?? Galing niya!! Kaya naman,di nagpatalo sa tilian ang group namin. Actually, kahit ung isa lang sa amin pambato na eh..hahahha!!!GO KING!!!
Geneva Cruz and KC Montero--They look good together, they sang MY BOO!
Akafellas--one of my favorite Star Records talents, grabeh talaga ang level of performance ng group na 'to...
Stella-- a former actress, now acoustic singer na...she has a potential and has her own style... She's like Lou Bonevie, and act like her too... I like her hairstyle, magaya nga....heheh!!!
Rage--Awesome, the best rock band... how can u ever imagine a girl can sing Bon Jovi's and Axl Rose's songs?? Hehehe... she reminds us of PINK, kasi sobrang astig...hhehehe...
Blumfields--a group of young lads who played the Beatles, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley and other 60s and 70s music.
They also had a fashion show of Bergamo Clothing....
SANCHEZ--is the guest host of the show... I never thought that this man can handle that kind of crowd...napaka-versatile niya talaga...he can crack jokes with sense and in good timing... And make the audience participate and alive....with him is Aileen, na naging ka-chika ni Sunshine...talaga 'tong si Girl, lakas ng charm....hahahhah!!!
Sila lang ung mga natatandaan ko, kasi ang daming performers eh...hehehhehe...
I went backstage with Maggi to see King, Sanchez and Chris... Nagkulitan lang kami dun sa backstage ni King while waiting for his turn to perform...(sa chat ko na lang ikukuwento to ha, ang haba eh..heheheh!)
Then after King's fantastic performance, he went to our place and have pics with us...hehhehe...nagkulitan ulit then kuwentuhan, while other artists were at our back... Nauna na si King umuwi kasi puyat pa siya from Suburbia show, and his afternoon show somewhere yata...
Kami? We stayed kasi we're enjoying the party... Until 3 a.m. hahah!!!Then, Shine joined the Kit-Kat contest (question and answer lang naman), and she won a Kit-Kat bag na sobrang ganda.
Parang walang katapusan ung gabi na un...hehehhe!!!...hyper pa din, kahit umaga na, at papaluin na kami ng mga mommy namin...hahahahah!!!
Shine, Maggi and Chris brought me home safely... Sana sila din naging safe that night...hehhehehe...basta, we really had fun...
Thank you Ate Angie and DISH staff for that wonderful night...thank you talaga! As in sobra!!!
